Famous Last Words

Wow! Week one is already over. I have really enjoyed blogging for this class! I think I’ve even decided to continue doing it when this class is over! Getting back into the groove of schoolwork after the long break has been tough. Blogging has been a great way to make it feel a little less like schoolwork.

My design classes we are already starting major projects so I think things are about to get way hectic. I am loving my class on typography, its probably one of my favorite parts of design. Our first assignment was to look at a typeface and redraw it. Which is pretty tough. It has given me a new respect for how long it must take to make an entire typeface and turn it into a font. In Vis Com 2 we are supposed to design a new shape...which is a tough task! There are certain requirements that we have to follow.

Outside of school! I got to see the logo I designed for a new lacrosse team printed on a shirt. Which was very surreal. Their uniforms should be in soon and I cannot wait to see my logo printed on those.

As you can see the logo is glittery because if I am going to be out there supporting the team...I need a little glitter! Can't wait to watch the boyfriend coach and watch some lacrosse. :)

I am also glad I got to spend some time with my two favorite pups this weekend! I am loving this warmer weather. Chloe has loved getting to play ball in the backyard. Spring fever is definitely in full effect. I am thankful for having Monday off for Martin Luther King Day so I can get ahead on some school work. Heres to a great semester!

  1. That logo looks GREAT, Shelly - the capitol dome is such a great design item to work with. And listen, I'm guessing you haven't done the Declaration for this yet; you'll see that if you want to do this for extra credit, you'll need to find some more to say... and with the first week of school and everything, I'm sure there's more to say. So make sure you add on to this before you do the Dec. so it is finished. You can always just copy-and paste what you've written into this word counter to make sure you are done! :-)

  2. That looks great, Shelly: I am glad that it meant getting some Caesar and Chloe goodness going on here. I should make a Pinterest gallery of everybody's pets. They are so charming! Maybe the two of them will make an appearance in one of your stories for class! :-)
